Monte Carlo Grill in Castlegar

Everything was overcooked on my plate, and my wife had the eggs benny. I don't know what sauce was on it, they said it was eggs benny sauce, but it is supposed to be hollandaise sauce, it looked more like cream coloured goo. Clean coffee cups are also important.

Plate full of breakfast. Free WiFi. Nice and clean.

They have breakfast all day but didn't have anyone that could poach an egg at noon the day we were there. Otherwise the food and service were good.

The food was horrible. Burnt and way over priced. I would and will not recommend this place to anyone.

Great food, very busy. Coffee is so so.Edit: 1yr later - happy to say coffee is much better now and the food / service is top notch.

Sub standard place for breakfast - ordered the mushroom and cheese omelette and was pretty disappointed. The cheese they used was the processed kind, they didnt even use real cheddar. The hashbrowns were so greasy I couldn't finish them. The toast has so much butter on it I couldn't finish it either. The orange juice was from concentrate, wasn't even the fresh kind. Wouldn't recommend this place.

Super good eggs benny!! Open early so I can get an early start. Lots of parking best spot for bikers. No sign so hard to find as its part of the hotel.

Excellent Food!!! Super, friendly service. Great menu. So nice to see a menu with a little bit of all the old standards. They have everything from bacon and eggs, to great omelets, patti melts, clubhouse sandwiches, soup and salads.

Great Eggs Benny

I'm giving this 4 stars only for the service which was fantastic. The omelet I ordered was good but the hash browns I had to blot with my napkin to get the grease off. Not a nice atmosphere and in a dingy hotel but I did notice our server greeted a number of tables by name, so it has its regulars.

I was really surprised about this place. It does not look like much from the outside, but the food was really good, and the service was excellent. Not ‘take Granny for a fancy Sunday breakfast’ place, but a great everyday ‘home cooking’ type restaurant.

Good honest cafe right at the junction of Hwy 3 and 22. Good burgers and breakfasts.

Waited over an hour for food order. After having to ask for coffee refills. Asked the waitress that took our Oder where it was after 30 mins and tables that ordered after us had there food. She told us it would be right out. In another 30 mins we waved the waitress down to try and get some attention and she actually went to check, our order never even got rang in. I would never recommend anyone to come here! Worst customer service!

I've only ever been here for the breakfast, but every time I come to Castlegar, I always make sure I grab breakfast here. Love the Eggs Benedict!

Amazing breakfast!

The food is good but the prices are ridiculous. Over $100 for breakfast is outrageous. Nothing on the menu is priced reasonable.

We had a complimentary breakfast here, which exceeded expectations. Service was cheerful, speedy and professional. An older property, but neat and tidy.

Had a great Italian dinner. Can't wait to try the spaghetti. Bring on the garlic.

Very nice spaghetti and meatballs. Little bit to generous of portion, but didn't leave hungry thats for sure.

The service is very good; however, the 1 star is for the quality of breakfast. The bacon tastes precooked and bland, the sausage is pureed fat with zero meat, the hollandaise sauce is okay, the grated hash browns are very greasy, and the coffee is alright.
